What is Revive Week?Revive week is a series of extended meetings that consists of Holy Ghost revival services and practical equipping services that can be hosted by churches and ministries.
-
Why extended services?Extended meetings like this are not new. Whether Charles Finney, Smith Wigglesworth, or Billy Graham, they held week long revival meetings minimum. Hosting consecutive services allows for a deep spiritual work to be done. The word of God can be continually sown day after day breaking through any unbelief or hard-heartedness. This allows for faith and hunger to be built night after night until there is an explosion. Every historic revival came from extended services. A move of God that shakes a church, city, or region doesn't happen in one standalone service. Extended services are what produce maximum impact.
-
What are Holy Ghost revival services? These are meetings where the full focus is on the people encountering the presence and power of God. The lost are saved, the sick healed, the bound are delivered, and the saints are revived. The focus is on igniting a passionate love for Jesus Christ and breaking off any apathy or lukewarmness in all people. The goal is renewed spiritual fervor.
-
What are the equipping servives?Equipping services are focused on empowering everyday believers to walk in the ways of God. The goal is to equip the believers to cultivate and sustain a move of God. These meetings consist of very practical teachings such as: how to heal the sick, how to preach the gospel, how to prophesy, how to pray, how to keep a passion for God, etc.
-
Why are both types of services necessary?Combining the effects of revival and equipping services will produce the maximum impact in your church or ministry. While the services have very different aims, when brought together they produce a strong church. Revival services are aimed at encountering God and producing a zeal for Him, while equipping services are aimed at equipping believers to live in the ways of God. - Revival services produce zeal for God, equipping teaches them how to sustain that longterm. - Equipping services give people tools to make a difference, revival services give them a passion to make a difference. Having revival services with no equipping produces zealous believers who don't know what to do with their passion. Having equipping services with no revival produces believers with a lot of tools but no desire to use them. Merging both meetings together produces a passionate and revived church that has the tools to not only sustain that zeal, but spread it to those around them.
-
